Frequently Asking Questions

What rights do I have to the digital prints?
You have the right to reprint images whenever you want. However, you may not sell your images for profit or publish your images without the written consent of Lin and Jirsa Photography.
Do you provide the RAW files from my engagement session and/or wedding day?
Each of our packages comes with a full resolution image download. However, we typically do not provide RAW (unprocessed) files from our shoots because we believe in delivering a finished product. In fact, we’re often shooting with the end (post-produced) product in mind. However, on occasion, we may provide RAW images along with our post-produced JPG’s for an additional fee and restrictions.
How many images do you deliver on the image download?
For a 3-hour engagement session we typically deliver 50-70 images and for a wedding , we typically deliver 60-80 images per hour of coverage. Keep in mind these numbers may increase or decrease depending on the flow of the day and the number of events/activities needing to be captured.
Do you provide the digital negatives after the shoot?
Yes we do. All of our packages come with Full Resolution image download.
What if I lose my images?
There is a variable replacement charge for additional downloads after the event has been archived. We strongly suggest you make at least one copy of the download when you receive it from us.

Photography

Are you in search of top-notch photography for your film? Or perhaps, an expert in the field who would deliver the best quality visuals to tell your story? We at Setjoo Studio have just the thing for you!

Why are we different?

Our crew is a firm believer in innovation and keeping up with the latest trends. A modern approach to cinematography is in high demand these days. This provides us an advantage over our competitors, who still cling to old-school methods.

Why choose us?

We employ the most effective methods for dictating how your audience should feel about your scene and how they will interpret it. This allows us to produce the most impactful and engaging results possible.

What techniques do we use?

  • Extreme long shot:

The extreme long shot captures a large area to demonstrate the magnitude of subjects in proportion to their surroundings, such as small birds in a forest. When switching from one large area or metropolis to another, it's usually employed as an establishing shot.

  • Bird’s eye shot:

The bird's eye shot, like the extreme long shot, exhibits tremendous size from a much higher angle to the point that the terrain begins to show abstract patterns and lines formed by roads, houses, and trees.

  • Long shot:

The long, full, or broad shot is a much closer shot of an area, allowing viewers to have a better look at what's going on while still being too far away to become emotionally invested in the situation.

  • Medium shot:

The medium shot allows viewers to get up close and personal but in a more informed rather than emotional sense. The frame usually shows a person from the waist up and is used for group situations with dialogues and interviews.

  • Close-up shot:

Close-up shots of the entire head up to the chin or neck are used to make viewers more engaged and touched by the character's emotions. You may make an impression with the character's facial expressions by framing less of the surroundings and more of the face.

  • Panning shot:

This one can be used simply to show the surroundings, but by maintaining the panning smooth and precise, it can produce genuinely professional results.

  • Point-of-view shot:

This technique is one of the most effective methods for making your film more immersive and interesting. It can also be done by attaching a camera mount to your subject, as seen in the GoPro footage above.

  • Over-the-shoulder shot:

The over-the-shoulder photo, as the name implies, depicts a foreground with an out-of-focus shoulder and head while another person, object, or the backdrop is in focus.

It's one of the most important cinematography techniques for narrative filmmaking. It provides depth to a shot and helps make conversational sequences look as natural as possible to the audience.

How important is good photography?

We at Setjoo studio understand the art of visual story-telling. It requires managing what the spectator sees and how the image is presented to them — by picking the correct shooting techniques that best tell a story — in addition to skillfully manipulating a camera and setting up the lighting for each scene.
